Lankenau High School student, Rydere Belle, shares his original poem to fuel the fight against breast cancer and honor the memory of his good friend’s mother who lost her battle with the disease
Cancer comes in many ways lets try to prevent it.
It pains me when this sickness attacks and destroys our women.
Breast cancer isn’t something that should be taken lightly.
I challenge this burden to throw on the gloves and come and fight me.
Year after year we lose more women.
Day after day, we witness a new victim.
Some women and men are clueless and don’t even know the symptoms.
I just say if you need help, go get some !
Whether I walk for the cure, or I talk for the cure.
It really doesn’t matter I just want to help find a cure !
I feel as though we are doing a lot, but feel as though we can do more.
I don’t think we should stop until we find this cure.
Cancer is not just something that makes a woman stress.
It’s a sickness weakening her, attacking her breasts.
Men we can get it too so never think less.
We need to keep fighting until we put this thing to rest !
This is something we’ve been battling for quite some time.
We’ve been paying our hard earned cash to every single dime.
A good friend of mine lost his mom to breast cancer.
That’s an irreplaceable person, a woman of her own standard.
I just want people to beware and prepare not scared.
Cancer is something no one should have to bear.
Beautiful little girls walking around smiling, but crying because they have no hair.
Some people are just ignorant without a single care.
We can change someone’s life, do it because it’s right not for the hype !
Making a small donation can make someone’s dark pain have a little light.
Also make a victim who’s diagnosed have a little fight.
Cancer is something no one should have to endure!
I just ask people to stop being ignorant and lets help find a cure !!
