THE FIGHT TO END BREAST CANCER NEEDS YOU.
SO, WE’RE COMING TO YOU!
Join us for the first Cherry Hill community rally for new (and veteran) volunteers!
Komen Philadelphia and New Balance Cherry Hill are happy to invite you to the inaugural gathering of Cherry Hill-area residents interested in joining our volunteer family—and making an impact on the fight to end breast cancer.
More than just a “volunteer meeting,” this rally will immerse you in the Komen Philadelphia culture, inspire you to be part of the region’s leading breast cancer organization, and excite you with fabulous opportunities to share your time and talents in order to increase the number of breast cancer survivors in our community. The rally offers something empowering for everyone, including past and current volunteers and those interested in giving it a try!
So, please, RSVP to Sue by January 12. And bring some friends—the more caring people we rally together, the more lives we can save!
Rally features will include:
- Kay Yoon-Flannery, DO, MPH, shares insights about the lifesaving work fueled by the Komen Philadelphia Community Grants Program. She joins us from Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center Jefferson Health where she is Medical Director of the Comprehensive Breast Center, and Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery of the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine.
- Opportunities for you to talk with our staff and your peer volunteers to gain a deeper understanding of how your involvement will translate into more power for our community to fight breast cancer
- Sneak peek at what’s new and exciting for the 2018 Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure.
- Fun surprises, it wouldn’t be a Komen Philadelphia rally without them!
If you are new to our volunteer family, please be sure to complete our volunteer sign-up form and submit it immediately or bring it to the meeting.
Every day, volunteers turn their time, talents and
passion into the fuel that drives the lifesaving work
of Komen Philadelphia.
