At the Komen Philadelphia Affiliate we call our volunteers "activists." That's because, whether you're putting stamps on envelopes, handing out t-shirts at the Race, or chairing an event -- every single show of support brings us all another step closer to a world without breast cancer.  Please, consider what role you want to play in our activist family, explore our many opportunities and get started today by:

Featured Opportunities:
I. Dietz & Watson "Pretty In Pig" Ambassadors

Become a "Pretty In Pig Ambassador" by spending a few hours watching out for our "gal" and embracing shoppers in the fun and fundraising--reinforcing that every penny counts in the quest to save lives. Various locations and times as they become available. And, include a friend in the opportunity with you...  what better way to share your friendship then by empowering a world without breast cancer together?!

II. Affiliate Representatives, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

With hundreds of awareness and fundraising activities coming up in October, we need everyone "in the field" to represent The Affiliate in all 13 counties of our service area. Ongoing Opportunities:
2011 Race for the Cure: While our 2010 Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure is winding up, NOW is the time for new volunteers interested in joining our Race family to reserve their spots... as well as for prior ones to "re-enlist." Skilled Office Help

Spend some time with the Komen Philadelphia Affiliate staff and help us make a very exciting transition to several more effective, efficient systems for our daily operation. Volunteer meetings are typically held the third Monday of every month, at 6:00 PM at One Independence Place, 241 South 6th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106 in the 2nd Floor Community Room.
