Hello. My name is Daniel Tull, and I am very excited to be a part of the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s fight for the cure of cancer.
Cancer has touched my family like millions of other families in our world. My grandmother, my grandfather, and my great uncle have all battled prostate, breast, and colon cancer. God has blessed them to be survivors.
My friend Kyle and I heard about the Susan G. Komen Philadelphia and Relay for Life, from our 4-H leader and decided we needed to join in the cancer fight, so we developed a project through our 4-H Club called the “Hope Garden”. It is a table-top garden with 7 beautiful pink artificial roses in it that people can make and give to cancer patients to cheer them up, give them hope, and joy so the can be encouraged to fight that terrible cancer beast!!!
We demonstrated how to make the garden at our local 4-H demonstration contest, and we have been asked to demonstrate again at the Delaware State Fair. This will give us opportunity to show people another way to encourage and support folks who are fighting cancer.
