Our 25th Celebration also means big fun for kids and the adults who love them! With the generous support of UnitedHealthcare, our Race day Kids for the Cure activities combine play, memories and plenty of ways for youngsters to make an impact in the fight against breast cancer… THEIR WAY!

First 1,400 Youth registrants (ages 12 & under) will receive a commemorative t-shirt (available in Youth 6-8 & 14-16; size not guaranteed). Opt out of receiving your t-shirt when you register & Komen Philadelphia will use the money saved to advance the fight. 


  • Open to children aged 3-12 years who are registered for the Race. Youth registration is just $17 and includes Youth t-shirt with Dash to Make a Difference insignia for the first 1,400 entries.
  • Separate heats according to age, and ALL participants receive a medal of honor – everyone’s a winner!
  • First 300 Dash participants receive 2 complimentary tickets to a Camden Riversharks game. Additional tickets available for $5.
  • Children must be accompanied by a registered Race participant of 16 years or older.
  • Start time: 10:00 AM
  • Location: Von Colln Park & Playground.. Meet us at the Children’s Funfest tent at 9:45 AM for a spirited parade to the Dash to Make a Difference led by the Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church Trinity Drum Line and Jane Lopoten School of Dance
  • Celebration: plenty of music, fun characters & other kid-friendly entertainment

NEW TIME: The Funfest runs from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM.

  • Featuring: clowns, magicians, fabulous musicians and a cast of characters leading activities specially developed for kids.
  • Children must be accompanied by a registered Race participant of 16 years or older.



Today’s youth represent the newest generation to join the fight against breast cancer – and very possibly the generation that will FINISH the fight! We applaud these leaders of their generation, the Kids for the Cure Ambassadors for the 25th Celebration Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure!
