Help Make History as a Delegate to the Launch of the Israel Breast Cancer Collaborative

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the promise Nancy G. Brinker made to her sister, Susan G. Komen, to do everything in her power to end suffering from breast cancer. That promise launched the global breast cancer movement through Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, uniting millions around the world in a grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting for the cures. As we look to strengthen and build on our tremendous progress toward a world without breast cancer, we seek to connect dedicated individuals and organizations in that global network.


From October 25-29, 2010, Komen for the Cure is bringing together advocates, survivors and supporters from every corner of the globe in historic Jerusalem, Israel to celebrate the launch of an Israel Breast Cancer Collaborative. It is with great pride that we invite the members of our Komen Philadelphia Affiliate family--as our loyal friends and supporters--to join the 2010 Komen Israel Delegation. In addition to a history-making event, this is an unparalleled opportunity to engage with Komen and Israeli leaders in the front lines against breast cancer. 

 

On October 28, together, we will walk just outside the Old City walls and make history as thousands of survivors and supporters unite in the first Susan G. Komen Israel Race for the Cure®. We will engage with grantees that Komen has funded for many years as well as high-ranking Israeli diplomats to understand the burden of cancer in Israeli life. And, beyond the meaningful mission activities, Komen Delegates will enjoy exclusive opportunities to visit the many wonders of this ancient city.
