Going the Distance with Brand New 2010 Komen Philadelphia Race for Cure® Scoring Technology!
Serious competitors participating in the 2010 Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure -- as well as casual joggers and walkers alike -- enjoyed the introduction of the ChronoTrackTM D-TagTM and SAI Timing & Tracking System, featuring state-of-the-art computer technology for Race scoring and timing.
Utilized at numerous high-profile races around the world, each device contains a runner's personalized identification code which will be read by sensors at the start and finish lines. Worn on the laces of your shoe, this extremely light-weight, disposable device will transmit a unique signal which will enable the computer to record your official time.
The D-Tag benefits
The D-Tag allows the logging of your official time more accurately and quickly. In fact, all official times will be posted by the end of Race day on Race.KomenPhiladelphia.org!
PLUS, those who purchased the D-Tag scoring device had an official timing score... whether they finished in minutes, an hour, or longer.
Click here to see how the timing tag attaches to the laces of your running shoes.
D-Tags must be worn to qualify for prizes.
Any participant who wished to qualify for Race performance awards MUST have purchased and wore a D-Tag to have their official time logged at the finish. All prize contenders must report to the 8:15 AM start at 22nd & the Parkway.
D-Tags must be worn to receive an official time.
Anyone who wanted an official time must also have worn the D-Tag, regardless of your expected pace or finish time.
Obtaining A D-Tag
A D-Tag MUST HAVE BE PURCHASED UPON REGISTRATION for the 2010 Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure. D-Tags are NOT automatically included as part of the Race materials package, but must have been purchased as an option upon registration online, by mail or in person. Cost per D-Tag was $3.00.
We thank everyone who participated in the inaugural year using this new scoring technology and hope to offer this wonderful option to Race participants again in 2011.
